Everytime I see a boat like that in Alberta being pulled behind a huge SuperDuty I wonder where they drive them? They always seem to be coming back from Chestermere which is lame.

Saskatoon has an awesome annual boat race on the river.

Holly. I did not think there would be boats like this out here. I’m from Kingston Ontario, and boats like this are all over the place. Also gust outside k-town there is a yearly pocker run where the boats come from all over. And they close parts of the St. Lawrence river and let them open right up.

Merc's are basicly chevys. The boat will most likely have a 502 BB Chevy.

Im starting a special project next month.

A customer bought a cigaret boat from the states and bringing it up here then im installing 3 brand new HP engines in it. Not sure what the engines are yet. could be 8.1s with superchargers.

Will be a interesting build.  Ill post pics and stuff of it if anyone is interested..

Calltrex have you ever had anything to do with Built Engines out of Kingston, Ontario; they are an engine shop that specializes in NA marine engines. To what I have been told their stuff is suppose to be the top of the hill for NA engines. Gust wondering if they are, or is it gust home town hype.

Here's mine............it's a 1978 Omega Fiberglass Lake boat. Running a  (625HP, 580 ft/lbs) BBF 429 (+.030) 11.6:1 compression with SCJ Heads, Holley 850DP, Bassett Headers, American Turbine Jet Drive with hyd diverter. We can hit 84mph on the GPS with full fuel tanks, me the wife and 2 kids !! And it will hit that speed in just over 5 seconds flat ! There are faster boats out there.....but havn't run up against one than can get me from off the start. Oh.......and I named it after the wife !!

I don't know a heck of a lot about boats, but I hope to own a Checkmate someday. They build some pretty sweet boats.
