I decided to get these before.. But I just came accross this u joint test now
$290 for a pair of Longfield D44 U-Joints
Longfields U Joints stronger then CTMs
Specimen....... Peak Load (lbs)
SPICER..................48, 649
LONGFIELD............162,400
YUKON...................92,599
CTM.....................158,732

it may come down to which you can get cheaper or which is more readily available. i havent heard of anybody breaking a CTM, im sure its happened. but id say whichever you get, you will end up with a super strong joint. next part down the line to break is...

As a one off test, it isnt very conclusive.
Multiple joints would need to be broken to truly prove any one better then the other.
At the end of the day, all it proves is that you get a similar joint for less money.
CTMS are more proven to last in fulltime hub vehicles like jeeps.
Longs are not as tested, but may last just as well. Its the risk you take.
Jack (ctm) is better known to be easier to deal with.
In the end, pick your poison.
