Post by: Fredduck on February 13, 2008, 08:17:47 PM
I bought an SUV with an ICOM 229H transceiver in it.
What kind of radio is this?
Thanks
Fred

I carry an air to ground radio licence, would this qualify as a radio licence for a ham?

I think I'll try and flog it for a decent C.B.
Thanks for the info

I'll trade the "HAM" outfit for a "CB" outfit of comparable value and condition.
No suitcase radios please, I want to put it in my YJ.
PM me if interested.

Okay, I'm going to be a party-pooper here. For $50, you can get a used CB, for around $100 something new.

I'd spend the money and keep that for a while if it was me.  You might regret it.  :)
