Title: Moab wheels with 285's rubbing?
Post by: dac on February 22, 2008, 11:16:06 AM
Anyone have luck/thoughts with 285/75R16's on Moab wheels not rubbing on the back coil buckets of a TJ with 4.5 ish inches of lift?  I've already got the wheels but am undecided on tire size.  As is, I have 2" spacers with 31's on the factory echo wheels.

Yup, the Rubicon wheels.  Found a set with a bit of rock rash and was going to have them re-finished.  Want to throw some MT's on them but not sure if it's a good idea as it's a daily driver.

I run TrXus MT in that size on the MOAB rims on an '04 Rubi with 1.5" spring spacers and on road only have rub at extreme tire lock, moreso when reversing than going forward.  I haven't had them offroad yet tho, so ????
