Title: 4"lift for CJ
Post by: rangerdanger on March 03, 2008, 08:43:32 AM
I was wondering what 4" lift is best for my 82 CJ 7 and where to get it. I was also wondering if you have to modify the driveshafts with the lift as  have heard conflicting stories. Thanks

Check out BDS suspension.

The prices listed on the site...North Shore Off-road can get pretty close to that price.
and they have cheap shipping cause it's out of Vancouver.

i think rubicon express (??) offers a kit to convert everything to 2 1/2 wide leafs, which improves the ride and flex.  problem is it costs approx 1400 $$.  you could also do a coil conversion, so really, it depends on how much you want to spend and what you want to do.  i did a 2" shackle lift and 1 1/2 body, which is a nice and cheap way to do it.    as for drive shafts, i live in calgary, and went to DSI (once again, ???, it is right around the corner from modern), and have been very happy with their service.  hope this helps.
