Title: Detroit locker issue

Hey just wondering if anybody has installed the detroit C-locker for the 8.25 just having an issue with the crosspin clearing the ring gear  ???

the ring gear gets thicker as they get numerically higher.  eventually you can't get the pin out.  shave the ring gear just enough to get the pin out.

I was kinda figurin that but just wanted to get some input,doent look like i have take to much off mabey a 16th. there 4.56's.Thx for the input.

The 8.8's are the same way...some people say to notch the cross pin, but that will only weaken it. Grind the gears with a dremel or a die grinder with a sanding roll until they pin slides in. You may also want to try rotating the crown gear on the locker as this may position the teeth in a better position and allow the cross pin to slide between teeth.

Just be sure to keep everything covered up really well and clean all the crap up after grinding...

x2 don't shave the pin.  Use plastic and duct tape to cover up everything except the tooth you are grinding.
