Title: SKYJACKER lifts
Post by: Rubiconman on September 11, 2005, 04:02:03 PM
Is anyone here using the Skyjacker double flex 4 inch?
Part # TJCR40RRK-DX (http://skyjacker.com/products.asp)
Or any double flex system with the Heim style joints?

Few of us here use rockkralwer systems. They use heims at both ends on all their lower arms.

Works great.

shitty part is when it comes time to replace those heims, they are a SJ only part and they will bend you over, i sold my SJ single flex setup in favor of building my own ones whe i saw the replacement cost....

Just get Evolution to replace the hiems

and Millitary wrap is a term used for leaf springs. It is the way the leaf wraps around the bushing ie:

No milltary wrap:

half millitary wrap on right side full millitary wrap on left side:

ok thanks so much, I wondered for the longest time what that meant. It is extra money to get that, is that a problem area on most leaf lift kits?

The military wrap provides the capability to get home if you happen to break the main leaf and they add some extra beef and protection for the leaf spring.  They are more expensive but I think they are worth it.
