Title: Front Locker
Post by: 4PLAYZJ on March 13, 2008, 10:25:17 PM
What kind of locker do you guys reccomend for a front diff.  The diff it will be going in is a low pinion dana 44 with manual hubs.  It will have 4.88 gears & chromo axles.  I am asking because I am not sure about ARB and using a locker that relies on air lines.  The other ones I am thinking about are Auburn ECTED or an ox locker.

I ran ARB's in both diffs and loved them. They were reliable and quick. if your worried about the air lines, run stainless steel.

I have been running ARBs with no hassles for the past 4 years.  If they are install right, they are trouble free.  Just make sure that you route your airline in a good location so that it wont get hung up or anything

arb's have been around longer then anything else out there now. the eaton elocker looks pretty slick, i heard they had issues with them, but im not certain if they resolved them. the ox locker is supposed to be super beefy and simple cable. i think there have been a few discuccions about this on pirate4x4.
