Hey again guys, i knew i was having some transmission problems recently. But today on my way home from work, the jeep wouldnt shift out of 2nd gear! So im doing 80 on glenmore, revving abour 3200rpm. Its the first time its happened. It will shift out of 1st...but at about 3000rpm, which is not good either. But i cannot get it to shift into 3rd, it just wont do it.
Transmission fluid is nice and red, and full. Could this be the transmission cooler? Or is the tranny just pooched?
I've got alot of things running through my head, and im just wondering if anyone can help me out...
thanks alot

sounds like limp mode. ours did that and was the wiring harness. can be a lot of things, electrical. it's so you can get somewhere (slowly) rather than being stranded. engine might not have any codes but tranny (tcm) should if you can find a way to read them.
google "94 grand cherokee limp mode" for other info.
