Title: Largest Tire sizes on an 2wd 92 XJ??

Hey all, i was just wondering what is the max tire size i can put on a 2wd XJ?  I currently have 225/75/R15 and no lift kit.  I would potentially put a lift kit on if i need it.  I know for sure i need to put new leafs on the back so i'm also wondering whether it would be relatively the same price to get new springs alone or get a lift kit that includes springs for a lift kit?  I would like to put 31 x 10.5 R15s and i'm thinking they won't work without a lift and will rub against the fenders.  If i don't go for a lift, i would expect 235/75/R15 would be the choice. 

Any comments and other such banter would be greatly appreciated.

id say u need to go to pick your part and get stuff to switch that puppy to 4wd 8)

Yea 235/75 with no lift, 31's you'll want 2-3" of lift and a lower BS on the wheels so they dont rub control arms.
Oh...and yea..make it 4wd!!

Okay, i would love to convert my truck to 4wd but is anyone willing to hang out with me and give me a hand, because i would have nooo idea how to go about that.  I'll even do all the hard work and provide the garage if someone would be willing to help out.  Is it easy enough to convert to 4wd??

Heres a thought. Toyman has a XJ for salethat has a blown engine. I don't know about cost of making yours into a 4WD but get his and swap the engine from your 2WD to the 4WD that already has lots of extras. It might be the best bang for your buck.

Sooo...a couple questions again, what does "x2" mean WagoneerXJ?  Second, i'm not sure if i'd want to take the engine out of mine and swap it.  My truck is in really awesome condition and 2wd is really the only drawback to it.  It's a 92 with 130'000 kms and zero rust, so i'd like to keep the body as is, but if it's not incredibly difficult to switch it to 4wd, i may be interested in that.  If not, i might just keep it as a prerunner sorta deal and put on the 235/75 R15's.
