I was looking at ordering a Bumper from JCR that looks exactly like that ... Im glad i found this forum ..Its nice 2 be able 2 get XJ stuff here right in your own back yard ....seems all the good stuff is down south and a arm and a leg for shipping

Post by: Immortal on April 26, 2008, 10:40:08 PM: Just to let y'all know.... the "softball/football" that is filled with air behind the bumper has something to do with CRUISE CONTROL... as mine was disconnected at Brink's, then I did not have cruise on the way home (had cruise on the way up though).

Post by: Darklen on April 27, 2008, 08:59:50 AM: I relcated mine under the coolant tank. Lots of room there, you just have to cut a few zip ties to slack the vacuum lines enough.

Thanks again Brink! Bumper looks sharp. Took the fam to Pizza Hut after and the ricers in the Macs parking lot bext door were coming over to look at it!

Post by: Immortal on April 27, 2008, 03:15:01 PM: I just plugged it with a pneumatic fitting plug (had one or 2 of these things lying around as most building control systems are pneumatics). And, yes, I have the original softball.... just in case....

I have one of these BRINK CHEROKEE BUMPERS for sale too. Brand new, unfinished and never installed.
ready for any custom tube work you may want.

Eric should be building these again for his new DARKSIDE OFFRAOD line of products.
includes winch mount, d-ring mounts, steering box brace,

the guys at darkside are good guys. they will build pretty much anything you want, if you email them, tell them/show them what you want, and put a deposit down (materials) i had my ZJ sliderz made by craig and i loved them. i'm going to pick up my new rear bumper from him this weekend. anytime i need something built i'll goto them........

That round of bumpers was over a year ago, and man the memories of many hours designing, fitting and fabbing are still clear! There was three of us on those bumpers, and the hard work paid off. But since then we have moved onto other designs and builds. We are developing another plate Xj bumper, but it is in a line up of things to get done. Right now we have a full round tube winch bumper for the Xj that we just need to finish the prototype. As for Zj and Wj, the plan was to follow up with a full round tubing winch bumper for those models also.

On side note, thank you to all that throw in props for us all over the cyber world, you know who you are!

JohnnyC! Check your pms on EJC, your Yj rear bumper and SOTC is fit up, but I need you to answer my pm before I go any further!!! On shcedule for Saturday buddy!
