Has anyone been in the wilderness area that lies sw of Grande Prairie. Ithink the road south from Grande Prairie is called Two Lakes Road. I'm looking for info basically for the widerness area that is between this road and the B.C. border. Does anyone know if this area is overrun with industry, or is it still relatively intact? Any other info would be great. Thanks.

I've done a fair amount of wilderness camping / fishing but in the area closer to north of hinton ( wildhay / berland rivers ... ) , there are some good forestry maps available , closer to the rockies I found most of the old trails were closed off to vehicles , some for horse riding / hiking only , they have some cool history like famous(?) early settlers cabins and even graves in the rock lake area ...
grande cache used to run jeep jamboree's and have a fair number of members who visit the edmonton jeep club website along with grande prarie wheelers ... also try posting at www.edmontonjeep.com or missioncontrol.ca ( eco site ) ...

I worked seismic around that area quit a bit. Most of these programs were approx. halfway between Grand Prairie & Grande Cache & west of the 40. All of the areas I worked in & around had alot of oilfeild &/or logging activity.
