Can someone please point me the right direction to become a member of the association?

Go to a meeting and bring $50.  See the FAQ section:

Welcome to the site tclarkson ...

no need to bring money first... you have to make sure you like what you get into first...

We just had our meeting last week but may be we'll see you on a run or a trail project first.
