Title: Bikini Top, Windjammer, Tonneau Cover Questions!
Post by: Whiskeymetal on June 10, 2008, 09:36:44 AM
Hey guys
I have a '99 TJ and I just bought a Best Top Bikini top, windjammer, and a tonneau cover. Just wondering (since it is raining a lot here) Is everything pretty much sealed up so the water won't cause any damage or leak? I haven't installed it yet because I want to make sure I won't have any leaks.
If anyone can let me know, or direct me somewhere that would be awesome!

Thanks very much.

Well i am running a bikini and a wind jammer on my yj.Everything is sealed ok just pull your carpet out and the drain plugs out and everything will be fine because the water will be on the floor and if you don;t mind wet seats or take a towel to dry them off or to sit on in my case lol

heres a tip. when you do install your bikini top and windjammer, or any soft top for that matter. let them warm up in the sun first. and install them whe nthey are warm. and the nre-adjust when they are warm. ive had to install a complete half top when it was cold and i couldnt for the life of me  get all the parts to stretch and hook into each other. it mentions this in the instructions as well.

Cool Thanks guys!
Also, I was told when you are installing the Tonneau cover, you actually have to drill into the gate itself for it to be secure on the back... That doesn't seem right to me  ???  Maybe I'm wrong??

On my YJ you have to drill 2 small holes to secure another rail just like around the tub for the tonneau cover, but it does not affect anything
