Title: winch vs. winch
Post by: JUC 169 on July 19, 2008, 11:11:10 AM
I am close to buying a winch, but not sure which one?  I am going to pull some stumps out in my yard to begin with and then after that hopefully won't need it too often :)  I don't want to break the bank buying one so I think I have narrowed it down to these 2:

8000 lb Champion winch @ Costco

or

8500 lb Superwinch @ Canadian Tire
 http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/product_detail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474396672414&bmUID=1216485373352&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524443303980&assortment=primary&fromSearch=true

Does anyone have any experience with either (good or bad)?  I'll be mounting it to my 85' CJ-7...  Thanks to all.

Go with the Costco winch, you have a year to return it with receipt if anything goes wrong with it and they have a no-hassle return policy
