Title: zippers on soft-top

does anyone have any thoughts on how to make the zippers on soft-tops slide easier......havin major issues with mine they keep missing teeth and is a chore and a half to do up...

Chrysler/Jeep makes a zipper lube for them... don't know how well it works tho.  I've used candlewax, which works reasonably well and hasn't damaged anything in the past.

i have the same problem. all i could come up with is vice grips and force :)

Clean em good, then lube with Silicone spray.....also really good for weather stripping around doors and windows. Keeps them soft and pliable!!!

I'm gonna beat Nick to the punch and reccomend Jigaloo!!!!!

i tried a bar of soap, worked good, didnt last.

i tried white lithium grease, worked good, then summer was over.

thank you for all the input......but have to fix first now..scott went crazy with the pliers and well now have to figure out how to unzip from wrong end so can try to sip again hee hee :-[

For a real quick/cheap fix, spray the zips with PAM cooking spray. works unbelievably well.

I use liquid dish soap , liberal amounts - let set - then wipe
them clean with a rag and lube again ... should slide freely

when they start to stick again ( they will ) then redo ...

I've actually seen bubbles if caught in a storm after doing  ;)
