Title: oil presser gauge

ever since i made that wave my oil presser gauge is fubared. i just chanced the oil presser sending switch that didnt help. i did notic when i bring the rpm,s up to 800 every thing goes back to normal. any ancers???

Is it only the oil gauge that's weird at idle?

Yes.....just did an oil change so know there is oil in it....onlyhappens after it has warmed upwhen first start the engine it is fine..then after it is warms it decides while idling to drop to "L"  ???

Had the same problem with my YJ. Changed the oil pump and found out that the rear bearing is spun. Starts with good oil pressure but once it warms up the oil pressure is almost at zero. Good luck with yours mine cost me an engine. :'(

Sounds like you got water in where there shouldn't be any.
I've got a spare engine with no oil pressure, caused by main bearings being shot.
If you don't drive it much, might be able to save it, but I wouldn't plan any road trips.

i have got it fixed  the presure spring in the oil pump was sloppy so i installed a nice little flat washer . runs like new
