Title: Quads and SeaDoo
Post by: CanaMatt on October 02, 2005, 12:17:51 PM
I am looking at buying a quad, I am not sure if I want to go used or new. I just bought some land on Buffalo Lake so I want to know what is the best make to buy, also perhaps even a sea-doo. I see the commercial for Bombardia's new quad, it makes me lean towards them for new. What is a good range to buy for cc's? I want a 4x4 type deal for a quad, Im not into the racer deal. And for the sea-doo I want the one where you sit down and can have 2 people sit and tow a water-skier or boogy board. What kind of cc's is good for that?

Thanks

Honda Rubicon 500cc quad is what my boss rides. I've been on it a couple times and it is a blast. lots of power and never gets stuck

Can't tell you much about quads, but it IS illegal to tow a skiier with a 2 man jet-ski/sea-doo... You need a 3 man so you have a pilot, a spotter and a skiier... That makes it cost a fair bit more...

I am told that any of the new sea-doos are more than powerful enough in the 3 man setup (probably because they're designed for this kind of use anyways!)

3 person seadoo  for pulling skiers

Seadoo has supercharged ones. I just worked on a 2000 the other day. Not sure how much a 2000       would run ya but would have the power to pull skiers easy.

I raced jetski's all over the place for 4 years

I also work on speedboats for a living now

cheers
