Title: New Member 04 RME 6cyl 5spd D44 Traclok rear Oilfield Sales truck
Post by: Canuck Bob on August 08, 2008, 12:26:25 PM
Just got a month on my new TJ.  Real happy so far.  Ordered a cruise control kit, removed milk jugs.  I am planning Misch arm rests and Big Boy brackets very soon.

Biggest question is the awful engineering design of the shovel, or should I say backhoe.  Drove on my first muddy lease road and it was a real problem.  I could feel it scooping mud and hindering forward movement, then I got to clean out many pounds of baked mud later, gotta go.  I priced a nth degree TT but the price was unreal.  Anybody got ideas that don't cost a fortune.  I'm searching a number of forums in the US at this time.

Anyway to buy in Montana and import oneself?

Check out the 33 Engineering Skid plate, but you will need a body lift for any high clearance skid

I put on a tera flex belly skid on my 97 2.5l 5 spd, no body lift req'd. works well.   I don't know if it fits your 04.
