Hey guys, a lot of us haven't heard any updates on jeep 101. (including me)
But don't despair even if jeep 101 is canceled, a big group of us will be at mclean creek store at 9:30 on aug 17, and leaving for the trails at 10:00 am.
Everyone is welcome to come, even stock jeeps, will just pick trails that everyone can do.
We live by the rule that "NO JEEP GETS LEFT BEHIND"
So come out and play with us.

Buy him a birthday cap and some streamers for his rig! lol
I would join but i have a prior engagement ... and no jeep haha... but i think these 101's should be held once a year for all the newbies... :) FABULOUS idea.
-
I think 8 should be OK. Anyone jump in if their is a better answer.
The concern is off roading can be jerky and bouncy and a young child's neck could be damaged. Manny of the club members make their children where a neck brace.

So I've got a basic stock TJ...by the sounds of this event should I even attempt this with the stock tires, no lift etc.??
-
scott/kerri have a stock TJ, with 31" tires, and they do just fine, you should be ok

Tires must have sum tred plese dont come out with bald tires. stock size is fine just not bald(50% or less is bad on a street tire)

Hey Z, i'm not sure where that is, but i don't mind meeting up, and heading down there together. Usually we meet at the petro canada, where highway 1, and 22 meet, and head down. Thats where i'll be between 7:45 and 8, if anyone wants to meet up, or doesn't know where they are going.
-
Hi, I am new to Jeeping and signed up for the 101. Is that the Petro just west of the Bragg Creek turnoff? If so I will meet you guys there. I will be driving a Dark Green JK

I'm debating if I wanna take the doors off for the first time this Sunday, and just avoid the mud. Or keep the doors on, and RAM threw the mud.

I am debating the same thing... I'm not keen on driving without mirrors though.
I'll avoid the mud regardless I think, I prefer obstacles to mud.

Myself and the boys had a great time. It was fun watching my oldest getting nervous on some of those trails.
Thanks to Aaron and the crew for a great time.
I will post a link shortly with my pictures. If you want any high res pictures, just let me know.
-
Great event! A very supportive atmosphere for those who were 100% new to off-road driving, and lots of patience shown by everyone involved.

We had a good time at the jeep 101 course. First time wheeling for the wife, it was a good introduction. Annemarie challenged herself back down the hill and tried it again.Kudos to waytec and the other members who volonteered.

I would like to thank the CJA and everyone who volunteered for the 101. It was great to get out in a comfortable atmosphere with a responsible group. I used to have a TJ, but I had to sell it for a larger model with the addition of new family members (twin boys!), so it was my first time taking the new jeep on the trails. I had a great time and can't wait to get out again!
