I've been looking at his articulating trailer hitch build. I'm using a few of his ideas for my own build.

Why wouldn't you just go with a pintle style hitch instead of going to the trouble of building a custom rubberized universal joint?

Ever pulled a pintle-hitch trailer down a road with frost heaves when your tow vehicle is as light as a Jeep?
