Post by: Rubi03 jef on May 29, 2011, 03:26:13 PM
alright .. so finally a bit of progress on my trailer

heres that justin ( AV NINE ) and i got up to this weekend

built the frame work for my heavy duty fenders . this will all be covered in diamond plate

the rear of the fender to my rear bumper / step will also have tubing connecting them both like the front . just ran out of tubing

i have 35 inch tires coming for the trailer next week so itll be almost ready for a trial on the trail, i got LED lights for the rear that will match the LED's on my jeep
also will be building a cover for it during the summer so expect this to be up dated more

took the trailer for a rip to red deer for the weekend   it fallows great gets a bit wobbly at 110km but thats probably because there wasnt much weight in the tongue .. didnt burn very much more gas then i would if i wasnt pulling a trailer

now to build a lid and get my tent ordered

pictures will be up soon of what it looks like now

thanks to justing for all the long hours of welding

Hey Jeff - just curious. Do you have a plan for how to get into the box of the trailer when the tent is in use?

the lid will be able to open with the tent extended open and out .  just got to make sure no one is in it while i open it .
ive seen it done in pictures on the net so it cant be to hard to lift

but i dont plan on having to open the lid much    once to camp site ill unpack and then open tent up . so everything should be out  i hope at least
