SUNDAY APRIL 23rd CJA CHILI RUN
The CJA has a scheduled run on Sunday the 23rd of April. A chili lunch will be provided with Dom doing the cooking. I have been told he makes great chili.
The plan is to meet in Cochrane at Smitty’s and head out to Margaret Lake for lunch. We will be leaving Smitty’s at 9:00. It will be an easy run in, hopefully suitable for stockers. After lunch we will likely split the group with the stockers taking an easier trail and some of the more modified jeeps selecting something more difficult. Trail choice will depend on who comes out.
Minimum requirements: good tires, mechanically sound vehicle, front and rear tow points and tow strap with loop ends. A CB or two way radio is highly recommended.
We are limiting the number of participants to 30 including passengers. Non member vehicles are asked to contribute $5.00 per person for the cost of lunch.
So far we have:
Blair and 1 passenger
Brandon and 1 passenger
Milan and 1 passenger
Ian and 1 passenger
Joel and 1 passenger
Dom and dog
Murry and 1 (TOYZ)
Todd and 1 (Avalanche)
Terry and 1 (widowmaker)
Dan and 1 (m0th)
Al and Amber (FiEND)
Eugene and 1 (Cotaman)
Nathan and 1 (87xjheep)
cdnhonda and 1
dirtyguy
Jonny_XJ
Scott (wheels)
Current total 30+-
Please post on this thread if you would like to join us, with your name and number of participants in your vehicle.
Thanks,
Blair

Hey thats great non members can go. Being an easy run I would like to bring my oldest son (4) on his maiden voyage. :D $10 is not a problem. I think it's a great deal, food and lots of priceless info. :P Because the run is 2 weeks away, if the max people of 30 gose over with members just give me the boot for not joining. It might light a fire under my butt and get me motivated
-
I'd be up for that so long as I get my CB antenna installed by then. I'd be bringing one passenger. Liberty with 3" lift on 31" BFG ATs should be OK?
Dan.
-
i would like to make this run ... hopefully should be able to try out the lift and tires on the XJ. probably solo....
Eugene ( st paddy's day i drove the black wj )
-
nice. i'll be there - with all 5 tires to start, sounds great.
so add Amber and Al to the list.

Greg for sure.... Jess is very tentative.

I am in.... just finished crawling under the XJ and only one thing need to be fix to pass the safety... and that is the floor... tomorrows project, cut the fenders, install the lift and ready to rock... so count me in

-
Ya im in the hunt for a seat being 15 and all i dont realy have a mode of transportation haha well i do but there both 2wds (for now)
-
O Ya quick question do i count as a CJA member yet? or do i need to pay the fee :?:
-
Sorry Doug but members have paid their yearly dues and that covers the cost of lunch for them.
So yes, you will need to bring $5.00 to cover the cost of Dom's good cooking. It will be worth it I have been told that he is a good cook.
I hope the ride works out for you. I would offer but my daughter called shot gun and got the front seat. The back seat of a TJ sucks on a trail run.
Thanks,
Blair

With approximately 17+- vehicles coming out on the run we have closed the run to any more participants. Glad to see such an enthusiastic response to the run. Here is a link to the current schedule of runs we are planning. http://www.calgaryjeep.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1433 Two runs are planed in May.
If there are a few rigs that missed the opportunity to come on this run sorry and I hope you make the next one. You can try and post a thread and see if you can get a group together to do an alternate trail.

Sorry Bud it's full
We turned away 2-3 other requests today.
It will be too many Heep.
It's for safety reasons. It would not be fair for the others that ask before also.
 Sorry again
Idea :!: ... Start a new thread.
There will be lots of other runs.... I feel bad but sorry man.
It was written  .. I hope you understand.
Cheers,

Dumb question...
Not been to Cochrane for a while. Is the Smitty's close to where the Tim Hortons is? I'll be coming up from Okotoks, so I'll be heading up 22, over the TC and it's on the left up the hill, right?
-
Correct!
