Where do you recommend going that is an hour from the Calgary area?

The falls is a nice little run. It just that saying 33" tires as a minimum is a bit over the top, that is all. Any old 4WD will be fine.

Have you been to the Falls in the winter? There are parts of that trail that turn into ice sheets and are damn near impossible to do.
The trail leader sets the req's for what they feel the conditions warrant, not everyone wants to sit on the side of the trail as other people ride a tow strap.

Yes, a dozen times. Not sure what bigger tires and ice have to do with each other. If it is icy, mandate chains or shock make everyone air down...
Anywho... The civic comment was an old joke between Dom and I, http://forum.calgaryjeep.com/index.php?topic=3666.0 I'm still waiting for the Civic run he promised me.
You guys are all way too serious these days.

Meh it's all good boys I had tow rig problems so I did not make it out of the city :P as for the 33" tires I was unsure of the coditions out there as to the depth of fresh snow out there ::) and me probably having the biggest rig that would of should up I wanted a easy day for it/didn't fell like dragging a broken jeep out not trying to should like an arse
