Thanks guys.
If anyone has faceboo and could share it there.
It looks like it was dragged out of the driveway with a tow truck or winched onto a flatbed.

I hate to say it but if you are right about the way it was taken, it was obviously targeted by more than just a couple of random joyriders. I woudn't be surprised if it doesn't show up again. I'll also bet it is either in pieces or at least out of the province by now.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

You remenber back about 10 years ago when a local garage lost a bunch if high performance engines and parts? It was eventually found in a tractor-trailer attempting to cross into the US.

Good luck Tom, such a nice truck too.

thanks everyone.
good news truck found.
bad news is everything inside of value stolen along with some damage.
outside has a few parts missing. unfortunately they went offroading and looks like many rear tire brakestands.
big rear pinion leak, will know more after complete mechanical inspection.
overall, i am stoked

A few years ago our car got towed as well in the middle of the night. New keys reprogramed , a couple  hours later was used in at least three crimes that I know of. Crack heads eventually abandeded it  as it would not start as lights left on. Got lucky as the only damage besides all the crack pipes inside was the tow truck rash on all the bumpers from city wide.

Friggen thieves, crackheads and city wide.

Hope everything turns out okay for you Tom.

Good to hear I was wrong then! Glad you got it back in relatively good shape.

i too thought it was going to be parted out and the body crushed. i had accepted that probability
or
it was going to be used in a smash and grab.

i am so stoked to get it back!

Be sure to talk to your insurance company about being compensated for diminished resale value.

i want my truck in same condition it was in when i had it. mechanical, interior, exterior and all my stolen possessions accounted for. i have always got certified appraisals on any vehicle i owned that was worth way more than book value. i was sick to my stomach when i saw no truck outside as i remembered i was going to get it appraised but never did. that will be done immediately now.

You need to get more than that out of your insurance company Tom.
Fact of the matter is if they return your truck exactly like it was when it was taken you are still out money. If you go to trade the truck in you will be asked if there has ever been a damage claim in excess of $2,000.00 (I believe that is the amount) if it has a claim above that amount your trade-in value will be greatly reduced. You need the extra compensation to cover this "hidden" loss that most people never think about.
With every vehicle I ever traded in, I had to sign a document stating that, to the best of my knowledge, my vehicle has never had a claim exceeding that amount.

I would start by going to a dealer and asking how much you would get for a trade-in on a new vehicle and then ask how much  that amount is reduced since it has had a significant claim against it.

Good luck

not a bad idea Vince. i have no plans on ever selling this truck and definitely would never trade it in but having knowledge of the loss is valuable, thanks.
