Title: commnunity service
Post by: Asia on June 21, 2005, 08:24:49 PM
I was down @ the Glenmore Reservoir today and there is a large tree (came down the Elbow River during the flood) blocking access to the boat ramp at the boat docks next to Heritage Park.  I'm going down there @ 08:45 pm to use my winch to drag the tree out of the way.  If you have a digital camera ( I don't ), come on down and take a picture and we can post it ( no mud, well  maybe alittle    ) and show that OHV users don't just rip up the green spaces.  Sorry for the very short notice.

Gunther from the FWS came down to take pictures, thanks Gunther for coming down on such short notice - I gave him a call, he lives nearby.  Just as we arrived the Boat Patrol already had a tow line attached to the tree and we watched them tow the tree off the boat ramp and into the water.  They are storing the trees on the other side of Heritage Park and will have them removed with a crane.  Oh well, it was a good gesture.
