Title: Trails around calgary?

hey guys, new to the area and unsure of the places where people like to go for trail riding and 4x4ing in general. i was looking on Google around Canmore, elbow creek and such. just looking on advice on where to go, and if there is fishing to be found all the better. Cheers

Two Main areas you can go that are close to Calgary

1. Waiparous

Pros- Open year round has some scenic spots, Easy and good for beginners

Cons- Very Limited trails most of the area is closed to full size vehicles, Bit of a farther drive

2. Mclean Creek

Pros- More trail selection, varying difficulty, not to far from Calgary

Cons- Closed Dec.1 to May.1, most trails are not that scenic with exception of a couple
