Title: WJ knuckle swap
Post by: cLAY on February 15, 2016, 02:21:53 PM
Has anyone here done it? I'm thinking of this for my next build. Mostly for the bigger brakes, also for the raised steering.
I've heard that for it to work properly you need to go to an over the axle trac bar to avoid bump steer.

Any thoughts?

The guys on the Naxja have all the info you need . Myself , I would like to do it . Bigger tire = bigger brakes . But at the end of the day its still a D30 that has not failed me yet that has ota track bar and otk steering . Its a coin toss for me .

I've done a few. I think I have a few sets of wheel bearing spacers left hanging around. I also have several sets of Wj knuckles left from the old days.

Sweet!  PM me a price for a set of knuckles and spacers and maybe when I pick them up I can pick your brain on what to use for steering.

15" rims are hit an miss. Some of the aftermarket rims with more backspacing will clear but generally no you'll need 16" or bigger.
