Ok, the rest area west of Banff in the east bounds lanes (I think it’s called Redsands) has been hiding a dirty little secret.
I have been stopping there almost every trip by forever it seems and discovered something yesterday that I bet not many people know.
I went in and used the washroom which was fairly disgustingly dirty and smelled accordingly.
After I finished I took the dog for a bit of a walk and happened to walk around the back of the restroom. Lo and behold there’s ANOTHER washroom and judging by how spotless and odourless it was, my money says 99% of the other users didn’t know it was there either.
There are no signs indicating a second room and the way the building is situated there is no reason at all to go behind it.
