Well that really screws with making a loop on the west end of Mclean Creek.
https://www.alberta.ca/public-land-and-trail-closures.aspx
Effective October 26, 2018, a Permanent Trail Closure has been issued in the McLean Creek Public Land Use Zone (PLUZ) for the Silvester Creek Trail due to a trail reclamation project.

There is a phone number at the bottom of the page.
Everyone here should be phoning the number asking why is this closed and where will a new trail be put in to complete a loop.
-
More detailed info here with the reason given: http://aep.alberta.ca/recreation-public-use/public-land-closures/documents/SilvesterCreekTrail-ClosureNotice-Oct24-2018.pdf

So the sediment was caused by the logging company that put in a road. So instead of stopping the logging they just close the whole thing. Can someone link a map with the mile markers? I have a rough idea which trails are affected as well.

Oh and I remember this from the fall, except it was called a temporary reclamation closure. And how do they figure there’s fish in that little creek?
-
This is why everyone should phone the number and ask all the questions. Ask when a new trail will be put in etc. Everyone phone in please. If its a none issue the trail never gets opened up.

Lets wait and see who the new Minister is. Thank god we got rid of the Motley crew. Hopefully they get completely wiped next election back to the background.
