I'm going to take the rear diff cover off after work today and see if it's a chunky metal soup in there.

hmmm don't remember hearing that outside the vehicle... seemed pretty loud on the recording inside.
certainly sounded like it was coming from the front axle. almost like a bad CV joint; but without the wheels being cranked...

Well it's not making the noise all the time, nothing different in 4H or 4L. But hard to tell. Might have to get it on a hoist to diagnose. Was moving around tonight with a friend and only heard it a couple times. My guess is driveshaft as seemed to make the most noise in the video under accel.
