Title: Whats Wapiaorous like? Super icy?
Post by: cLAY on February 05, 2020, 10:55:42 AM: Anyone been to Waiporous in the last week? How icy is it? Thinking about taking the family this weekend with Jeep and SxS looking for a super easy run with no drama. Did Margreat lake two weeks ago and things were a bit slippery but not bad. One hill I slid own had 6 trucks go up right after and with each one it seemed to get worse.

Post by: slanktapper on February 06, 2020, 03:33:18 PM: You can always do what's left of the original Lost knife, 51 to 93, however any of the new cut lines are going to be sketchy this time of year without chains.

You can do the lookout too, 154 up to 149, there's a fork at 153, if you go left (down) it will lead you to Margaret Lake.

I haven't done either of these all year though

Going to be at the McDonald's in Cochrane for 9am. Weather's looking not terrible <1cm of snow and -4. Will shoot to be back around mid/late afternoon.
