Let’s meet for 9am at the store. If the store parking lot is closed, like it usually is at this time of year, we can meet at the pond parking lot. Drive past the store, stay on the asphalt road that curves past the store to the right. The first left hand turn just past the cattle guard will be the pond parking lot. There will be plenty of room for a of us to gather and outhouses that might be open.
Dress for any weather that could arrive. Extra Food, clothes and water too. It could be a long day and it gets dark early.
Mark your calendar! November 27th is the last Saturday before McLean creek closes for the winter.
Come on out for a fun day on some trails!
Details will be posted closer to that weekend.

So, since I don’t have lockers in the xj, are chains pretty much a must.
And, in the winter I run blizzaks cause I got them free and 4x4 with winters is amazing. But for snow wheeling (without chains) would you go blizzaks or bfg mud terrain T/A KMs?

I wouldn’t use blizzaks for off-roading, maybe light trails. Especially the trails in McLean. Keep your current tires for Offroad and maybe use a pair of chains with them. Depending how the snow situation is out there. May not need them that weekend but once the snow really starts to fly they will be good to have in waiperous.

Jen and I will be going. Not sure about chains, I haven't seen any in stock for 37's.

Will this be an easy run for a newbie who is driving 2012 Sahara on winter tires (everything is stock). Also , not planning to get any body damage as it will be my first run. Is this normally an easy run?

Wellllll…. The plan is to do fisher East. Usually a crap show. May not be great for a newbie. Some good runs to waiperous will be coming up soon as well. Much better for newbies:)

Doesn't look like I'll make it. Lift parts aren't here yet and I'm worried they're stuck in Vancouver from the floods if they were coming up from California.

I took it out to Waiparous on Saturday more for a drive than anything. Went out on the left fork on Waiparous Valley Rd and shortly after it was hitting the fenders on all 4 corners pretty bad on the bumps. Probably going to do some trimming in there as well while I wait. Maybe it will be wheelable with just the trim. Can't tell if it was hitting anything else, and it doesn't seem to hit anything with the wheels turned full lock - which I was worried about before.
I trimmed the rock rails back a little bit at the rear too. Going to paint where I cut/drilled and put them back on soon.

Unfortunately I won't be there. Other obligations have come up. I really wanted to do Fisher East.
Now to do some Black Friday shopping :P :o ;D

Looks like I am actually out myself. May have a buyer for the grey Rubicon... and its probably best to not swamp it in a mud hole beforehand. Gold Rubicon still needs a few little tweaks before I wheel it.

Awesome day guys! Good turn out, 12 jeeps! Fisher East was just frozen enough to move along at a fast pace and get a second trail done too!

I fixed up my hardtop where I crunched it. The paint is a little flatter than stock but it's going to take 10 days to get some ordered in from the dealer and I wanted to get it fixed before it gets cold. I'll repaint it with factory paint in the spring when it gets warmer. Otherwise it turned out ok.

Nice job on the repair! Will be curious to see how the JB Weld stands up to the flexing going forward.

Yeah, not worth the risk when it's going to be that cold. If someone breaks down or gets hurt it won't be a fun time.
