Title: Fine Tuning
Post by: Elsifer on May 24, 2005, 02:23:10 PM
Some of the things I am looking at that fall in the "Fine Tuning" category are:

#1 - A photo gallery
#2 - The CJA logo in the top left, to replace the phpbb logo
#3 - Different colour schemes
#4 - a spell checker
#5 - more smilies and/or avatars
#6 - The old content of the old forum back (in whatever way that looks)
#7 - A fancy "start" page, that has some pics, and a deeper outline of the club and objectives, or perhaps even a couple of pages.

Also, I am sure there is stuff that I havent thought of yet, please PM with with those.

Please indicate to me which do you prefer to happen:

Thanks
Chris

Downsize Frenchy's avatar.  :D  :D  :D
Logo and some of the basic CJA objectives/guidelines should probably be first. Galleries and themes next. Then rest of old contents. The rest can wait. JMHO

Erm, "possibly", I'll have to see about that.

As for the sizing of avatars. If you upload one, it has to be 90x90 pixels and 10K in size. But if you point it at an offsite avatar, the size limitation is bunk. So, for now, the offsite avatars can be pretty big, I'll see if I can limit it, if not, I'll have to stop off-site avatars.

The old galleries? Um, no, they hit the proverbial "bit-bucket" a long time ago. That event started the quest for a new hositng company, new forum software, new everything.

Sorry Tom, but the old gallery is looong gone. The new one should be up later this week, as well as a spell check, and an info page, downloads, etc. I do have a paying job too! :P

Thanks folks, I appreciate all your comments!

Any chance you need some templates? It will make the job alot easier.
