Any one into a moderate run saturday, Or sunday if prefered by the majority.
I prefer waiparous. but....
I could make trail suggestions, but they always seem to change when we start airing down anyway
I am going to suggest no stockers this time, unless there is enough interest for two or three groups. Then we could do an easy morning then split.
Smitty's 8, leave at 9, gravel pit at 10 for the out of towners/campers.

I could probably make that trip :D. I have some new tires on order that I'll be jonesing to try out.
I will see in any other locals want to make the trip down as well. We had a great time last time.

You should be able to edit the original post Ian.
But I'll do it for you. I would prefer the sunday, I have a rather yearly party down in High River to attend, and then an early rise, and a nice early drive back to Cochrane!

come on, make it both days....
jeepin mud is trying for a saturday run, I may try and tag along on that
-
cool, I will be doing a couple mods on thursday, hopefully all goes well and I can head down for a couple of days of wheeling.
-
I'll be at the Sat. run for sure if there is one.

Sunday.
I am kinda thinking a person should be able to start at the pit and head east down meadow creek and keep going all the way through to devils gap then south down the river to the Bar -C road. I have never tried that, and it is always fun to get a little lost and discover new trails.
It would be a good trip for Steve's visitors from England I think.
Any thoughts??

Ian,
You can do that IF you are on a quad or bike :D The trail thins out to a small quad trail (jeeps will NOT fit).
However,
If you cross the PIT to the backside, the trail continues up and than you head right at the intersection up top.
This will take you along until you again have to turn left thru bog and back on Johnson Lake trail to river and than Bar C road.
OR, you cross earlier and come up behind bog rather than thru it. The crossing takes place after the wooden bridge on Meadow Creek.
Tom :D

I too would prefer the run to be on sunday.
-
Thanks Tom
I will have to think about that a while, Can't quite picture it in my head, I will look at a map a little later.
I am definately going to try and avoid crossing johnson's bog, that can eat up way too much time.
-
Anyone got an open seat? :D
-
If I have any chance at all it would have to be Sunday. It'll be tuff walking around the rest of the week with my fingers & toes crossed hopin' .
-
If your meeting at the gravel pit at 10 there might be some Toyota's to show you up.
And maybe a Jeep or two as well.

Hey Ian,
if you follow Meadow Creek you do eventually end up with J Bog on your Left side. Now, if you continue past the Bog, you do end up on a trail that works its way to the Gap. This trail is an absolute dead end. It ends in a real singletrack (no quads can do) or it cuts over into a quad track(no jeeps can do as some sections quads just scrape thru).
So, we are back at the pit :D
Now if you cross pit and go right on that cutline up top, than you are on the right cutline. It will eventually get to another intersection that forces you to go thru a bog on your left hand side. Winching may be needed depending on water. This trail continues dumping you into the river and a long boring road to Bar C.
OR
Miss J Bog and get over quicker by turning left after big bridge along meadow creek in the long open field section. You will see a trail to your left. This trail eventually takes you up and behind Dannys Hill and does meet up with Johnson Lake trail behind J Bog. There are some turns along the way but if you stay to the righyt it will eventually spit you out behind (on top) of Dannys Hill. DO NOT go down this hill!
Tom :)
