Title: email money transfer tutorial
Post by: dunl on January 28, 2008, 08:57:49 PM
For some of us, we purchase parts from people we don't even get to meet.  The easiest way to do this is an email money transfer, but it has surprised me over the past few years how many people don't know how to do an email money transfer, yet they do their banking and paying bills online.

This tutorial shows how simple the process really is.  As long as you bank with a major Candian bank (Scotia, Royal, etc.) and have an email address, you can send money to anyone with an email address who also banks online.  There's usually a $1.50 fee, but if you are getting something from someone that they are dropping off for you but you can't meet up with them to pay them, it's priceless.

Hope this helps someone somewhere.

Used this myself a few times and its great.  Pretty easy to do... and quick.  One word of warning though... your account has an interac limit set on it so check that out before making plans to transfer more than a few hundred.  Its a safe guard but can be annoying if you're trying to pay for a $1500 item or something.
