I'm looking at the Tera Flex one that bolts up behind the tail light. They sell both sides, I'm thinking driver's side. Any thoughts?

Peice of angle iron with a hole drilled and bolted to the top of the tire carrier is a cheap an simple solution.
If you were looking for other suggestions. If not, nevermind.

*2 and you don't have to drill in your tub.

I thought of this, but was wondering about cable routing. A tub mount (and the TeraFlex one shouldn't need any new holes drilled) would have a static cable, but the mount on the tailgate would have a longer run that would need to flex when the gate is opened, right?

Mine is routed out of the same hole where the 3rd brake light used to exit.
Once its in the carpet right by the door, it doesnt move much, or get hung up on stuff.
My cb is on my rollbar, so interior routing was the same distance down either side.

1991 YJ here, no 3rd brake light. You have given me some ideas though.

You have to drill one hole with the Tera-flex one, else it's kinda wobly.
