Trackbar bushing
« on: November 22, 2008, 06:38:21 PM »
It was pointed out to me after the meeting that my front track bar bushing was probably pooched (thanks Rookie)  so I picked up a replacement (thanks bnine!) and figured I would do this today. I was told an air chisel would make it easier so I picked one up and....

:o If thats whats called easier then I don't wanna see harder!! :o

I bet it took me over an hour, probably two to cut that old bushing out of there!
Finally I cut enough of the rubber away so that I could grab the sleeve with my vise and put the torch to it while i twisted the track bar, once the sleeve was out it only took another 15 mins or so to get the rest of the bushing out, the new one slid right in with only a little effort.

How long should this new one last??
