Where to take a broken transfer case for disposal?

Where would you guys take a broken transfer case for disposal?  Does the landfill take it?  Do the fluids need to be emptied?

steel bin @ dump
yes remove fluids

steel place on ogden road has drop off spot - that's where i usually take mine.

yea i know.  you have piles of steel, trannies, transfer cases, a couple wannabe jeeps... yea i know.

It was a toyota 4runner front diff actually.  Just disposing of it for someone.  We ended up draining the fluid, then taking it to the metal bin at the landfill.
