Can some one tell me if  I cam put a 4.0l into my 1974 cj6  will it bolt up to the 3 speed tranny?  or is there away to just put the  fuel injection on the 4.2?

The trans should bolt up. I would look to advance adapters for the pilot bushing and any other little parts to make the swap work.

Does have to be the three speed? Why not a 176 or something?
