need help

ok heres the dilio. i need to replace all my seals in my d35 its leaking everywhere. now i have an idea on how to do this but would rather have someone there with me who has done it so i dont wreck / forget anything. i will do all the dirty work unless you want to get your hand dirty too. i will supply food and beer of your choice. we can do this at my garage or yours.. thanks

sounds like your vent is plugged. Check that first.

i wil but i know it's leaking cause i forgot to change the seal after i broke axle shaft and has been getting worse

so i fixed the outer axle seal so now i just need to do the pinion seal. what size is that socket for the pinion?

1 1/8"  is the socket size but remember the D35 uses a crush sleeve so it need to be replaced

Then you need to apply 300 to 500 ft/lbs of torque to start to crush it then final torque 180 to 230 ft/lbs to get the pinion preload   to  15 to 17 inch/lbs  of torque

you don't what to crush that if you just changing the seal mark it pull it off, (that could be the hard part very tight) yank the seal out put the new one in then put the yoke on and take it to your mark no futher you will mess up the preload. did mine in 30 min.
