hmmm....CJ2A body lift?
« on: May 03, 2009, 10:42:59 PM »
Did some work on the 2A today, including new meats (non-pork lol).

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on gaining some room in the back....it's a little near the body back there.  Not sure if I'm going to stuff it through a fender or not.  :(

Copied my post from Packrats:

Spent some time on her today.  I took off the hood latches, as I had lost one. The only one I could find at the swap meet to match was from Jeepman`s dad, and it was all nice and shiny chrome....needed to fix that.  Some flat black and they were all looking better.  I also needed to put on the mirror bracket, and those were originally black, so I did that too. Unfortunately, the threaded bolt on the back of the mirror is too short to go through and have a nut on the end, so I will weld a nut to the bracket and then just screw the mirror on.

New meats (to me) today as well.  The rims were white....couldn`t have any of that either.

Old 31" Remingtons on the front, new 34" Narrow S.S. Super Swampers on the rear.

...and complete.

Oh yeah.....they'll do just fine. I think she`s ready to get off the pavement.

Here's she is, lying in wait.....ready to pounce on the nearest unsuspecting Hummer to come her way....

I'd prefer not to go with a shackle lift if possible.
