Newbe Tire question
« on: May 24, 2009, 08:52:31 AM »
Hi everyone, new to calgary and just bought a 94 cherokee sport for my girlfriend to bomb around in. Wanted to know what's the largest size tire that will mount onto stock rims without rubbing on the fenders. Thanks in advance. ;)

Thanks, what's everyone favorite tire here when it comes to wear and traction. Was thinking of getting some BFG Mud terrain T/A. What do you guys think?

Mud T/A's are good tires. Maybe not the best for straight daily driving, but definetly not the worst! I run the All Terrain T/A's on my 98 XJ and it's a daily driver, that does see some forestry roads, and light trails. They do just fine and are very quiet on the road. The Mud T/A's are much better offroad, but are a bit noisier than the AT's on road.

If the springs are sagged at all you will only probably get a 235/75/16 in the rear without rubbing
'95 YJ with a few mods

in my old stock cherokee I ran the BFG 30" A/T ko's on the stock rims and didnt have any problem. and they were a durable tire that isnt very loud at all.

I think is the perfect DD tire.

Great, thanks guys. Going to go with the 30" BFG All Terrain T/A's. Can't wait to order them from work tomorrow.
