great pictures guys.

I really want to thank all those that braved the cold on Sunday morning and still attended the Toys For Kids Christmas Cruise. With the minus 24 they were predicting for the night before, the minus 17 almost felt like a Chinook. In total we had 69 vehicles with quite a few of them flying some kind of Christmas decoration. It makes it all part of the fun for the season.

A special thanks for the clubs that showed for the event. It’s great to see the 4x4 community giving back a little to the Calgary community. The clubs attending this year were Calgary Jeep Association, Calgary Ground Pounders, Calgary Nissan Club, Hardcore Off Road, Rocky Mountain Land Cruiser Association, Rocky Mountain Big Wheels, and of course the members of the Four Wheel Stampeders. Also want to thank all those from the 4Wheeler.ca forum board and all individuals that simply heard about the event through some means.

Thanks also to Tim Horton’s, Alberta Porta Podi, Ryder truck rentals Blue Creek Builders, and a few others I’ll add later when I find the sheet in one of the many layers I was wearing for the day.

Also want to thank the Calgary City Police for the assistance they gave us getting started on the route we chose. It was really a very tough route to have to control if they were to have escorted the convoy the entire distance and I think next year we’ll have to make sure it’s a route the police could escort easier for the whole trip or at least a better part of it.

Suggestions and ideas are also coming in for next years recipient of the gifts that everyone is good enough to contribute.

Thanks again to all and have a great Christmas season.

I’ll be gathering the information from the other areas that held a similar event in conjunction with this one and post the pictures in our gallery section and the numbers on the forum boards.
