Aussie locker constant ratcheting problem
« on: August 29, 2009, 11:00:33 AM »
We put a rear diff in my sons yj with a Aussie locker that was only used for  2 months. does anyone know what I will need to do to fix an Aussie locker that is ratcheting constantly, If we raise the rear axle and rotate one wheel it just spins and makes a lot of noise and  the other wheel doesn't move. Very noisy all the time. I wonder if the springs in it are weak or if it is more severe than that?
Any ideas would help me track down the problem.
Thank you
Brian

Your best bet would be to contact Aussie. They have excellent customer care service(even if you are not the original owner) and speak to an engineer. They were very helpful with narrowing down my problem with my locker , and they replaced my springs for free. They can be reached at aussielocker.com or you can call 585-723-1489.
