« on: September 29, 2009, 11:08:24 AM »
I have been at Elbow falls and seen OTR vehicles on the other side, is there a open trail to get to the falls from the non highway side through Maclean area? if so does anyone know the name of the trail and the difficulty?
What would i spend my money on if it wern't for JEEP's

trail in is easy.  narrow at parts but doable.
no OHVs to the falls. its a whopping 5 minute hike.
~ rescue green JKUR on 35s.  typical rubicon build

Mclean map is here: http://www.srd.gov.ab.ca/fieldoffices/southernrockies/pdf/McLeanCreek_Trails_kiosk21x39_Revised080710Watermark.pdf

As noted on the map...you can drive to the bottom of the hill next to the river, but must walk from there.  A few hundred meters or so.
