shock lower bushing

I had the jeep in for an alignment today and the lower shock bushings are worn out and need to be replaced.
I believe the shocks are Rancho's.

anyone know if I can replace the bushings and not have to replace the shocks?

if so, where would I get the bushings??

You can go to Modern Motors or National4x4 and pick them up. They carry Rancho and should have  bushings available for you. You don't have to replace the whole shock. Use a bench vise and some sockets to push the old ones out and press the new ones in. Use some lube(vaseline) to help get them in. Standens also has shock bushings as well.

have to look at replacing the rear springs, so I might check standins for that too, I guess they make their own springs.

ive always had good luck at mopac on 16th as well like 5 bucks a set and in stock it seems just need inner and outer measurements

see, i understand the use of KY in this application. but why is it that KY is the first to be used? i have far more experience and very good luck with astro-glide. it may not be as easy to find as KY, but its a much better performer. it leaves a longer lasting film of lubricant to help penetration of the rubber bushing into the shock eye. FYI, be sure to clean the eye first, nobody likes lubing the rubber and forcing it into a dirty eye...

Astro-glide is...

Try silicone brake lube for bushing install, won't disolve rubber bushings and stays around awhile to prevent squeeks, or if it squeeks too much there is always astro-glide...
