aluminum bar stock
« on: March 08, 2010, 03:32:22 PM »
I know this is not a technical questiion, but I was wondering if anyone knows where to get some 1/8" ish " X 1" ish flat aluminum bar stock.  I have some really bright 1W & 3W LED's and I need something for a heat sink.  I'm going to replace the incandescent bulbs in my motorhome, jeep and some house lights with LED's.  It would be especially good if I could get some somewhere in the NW...

thanks
ross

Try Metal Supermarket.  They should have what you need.

Well Canandian tire might have, about half of the employees I asked said they did but didn't know where they might keep.  I checked the trim section at  Rona and they had some - 8' for $8.49 in the sindow trim section or 4' for $12.49 in the hinge section....same stuff

Thanks for the help
