What to get
« on: March 28, 2010, 09:57:54 PM »
Lookin at gettin new tires in the near future.  Size MUST be a 33x12.5x15.  Looking for something a little more aggresive (no a/t's). Little to no highway driving going to be done.  Any suggestions would be great.

If it seems like a good idea at the time it probably isn't!

Where are you gonna be drivin it...trails and farm? With no highway I'd say get some boggers or swampers.  The wider the better :) 12.5 swampers are a bit skinnier than the average MT.

Now I've heard some mixed things about these tires.  How good are they in the mud and snow?

I'm partial to the Mickey Thompson MTZ's. I've been running 31x10.5x15 for the last 2 1/2 years, and they've been great all year-round. On hard ice they're not the greatest, but not much would be at that point. I'm stepping up to 35x12.5x15 shortly....

Swamper SSRs or the Toyo MTs.  If there is any plan to run muddy trails, then swampers all the way.
