Getting Trail Ready...?

I need some advice....  I am trying to get ready to join you on some trail trips.  I plan to keep my TJ on the mild side, but still want to get out.  I just installed BF Goodrich AT 31x10.5x15... looking for some front tow hooks... I am about to install the CB radio... here is my question..  Does the antenna need to be permanently mounted or will the magnetic one be okay for when I am on the trails...??  Any other bits of advice or tips is so welcome.  Thanks...

my antenna is permanatly mounted but a mag mount works just fine, plus it will not break off if you hit it with a tree.

magmount will work ok on a tj from the hood, fenders or front bumper.  might have to replant it once in a while which will make you hard mount it quick enough.
